VENICE BIENNALE - GLASSTRESS, an official exhibitaion of the 53rd Venice Biennale that celebrates the use of glass in contemporary art, will be held in historic  Istito Veneto di Scienze Lettere ed Arti at Palazzo Cavalli Franchetti on the Grand Canal, and Berengo Centre for Contemporary Art and Glass, Murano from June 1-November 27, 2011.  The exhibition consists of 20-site specific installations, where invited artists have each selected a room at the Palazzo in which they will exhibit their contemporary work in glass and top designers and architects will exhibit their works in the striking Berengo Centre.  For more information:  www.berengo.com.
